Her Story. Their Story. Our Story. Three Years of Herstories and the International Women’s Day That Started It All.

Three years ago this month, during Women’s History Month, I pressed record for the first time. I was nervous, excited, and completely uncertain about what Herstories would become.

Today, on International Women’s Day, I know exactly what it is: the most meaningful thing I’ve ever built.

What started as a feeling… more people need to hear these conversations … has grown into a library of stories that have genuinely changed me. We’ve talked about navigating divorce and finding your authentic self on the other side. We’ve sat with grief, with the quiet courage of single parenthood, with the complexity of raising a trans child. We’ve heard from a woman who turned the loss of her husband into a new chapter of joy, and an 18-year-old who made me rethink everything I assumed about the next generation.

We’ve explored what it means to be an agitator for change, to preserve your legacy through D&I, to help other women feel beautiful as themselves … not as someone else’s version of them. We’ve talked about suicide prevention, empowering single parents, and funding dreams for women who didn’t think they had access to theirs.

These aren’t polished stories. They’re real ones. And that’s exactly the point.

Herstories was born from my belief that herstory deserves to be heard just as loudly as “his-story”. Three years in, that belief has only grown stronger.

International Women’s Day exists to celebrate how far we’ve come and to remind us how much further we still need to go. That is exactly what Herstories is about. Every episode is an act of recognition. A declaration that women’s voices, women’s experiences, and women’s lives are worth the world’s full attention. Not just one day a year. Every single day.

Here’s something I don’t talk about enough. I do all of this myself. Every interview. Every edit. Every upload. Every post. No team. No outsourcing. Just me, my microphone, and a whole lot of love for this work. Maybe I’m a little crazy. But Herstories is my labor of love, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This anniversary also comes at a personally significant time. I’ve been pouring energy into building a new business, and Herstories has been both my anchor and my reminder of why authentic storytelling matters in everything I do.

To every guest who trusted me with her story, thank you. To everyone who has listened, shared, and shown up, you are the reason this exists.

I am just getting started. I have episodes recorded and ready to be released, and so many more Herstories waiting to be told. I promise you this: more content, on a regular schedule, because these stories deserve to be heard and you deserve to hear them.

And to every ally who shows up for the women in their lives, today and every day, we see you. We appreciate you more than words can say. This movement is stronger because you are in it. 💙

If you or someone you know has an inspiring story that deserves to be heard, I want to talk. Reach out, tag someone below, or visit herstories.com to apply to be a guest. Every story matters. Especially yours. 🎙️✨
